Athens Pride Fest is here! Many thanks to our social justice partner SEORA for coordinating this event.
The UUFA will have folks walking in the Pride Parade at 11 AM on Saturday June 6 and Tabling 10-3 at the Fride Street Fair.
If you are interested in joining us – please meet at Alden Library 2nd floor entrance (ish) located on Park Place. Parking availabe in the Athens City Parking garage located on Washington St. across from the City Building.

June 7 – Discovering our Many Selves – Classical human development theories proposed that one of the major tasks of life is to discover our identity and fulfill the related purpose. On June 7th, Pete Mather and Jeff Wunderly will explore the limits of the proposition of a singular identity with a sole purpose. We will explore the liberating idea that we are many selves and that none of them can be fulfilled in life. Instead, we flourish through embracing our multiple selves and the experiences they offer us.
June 14 – Passing the Chalice: Multigenerational Faith and Learning – Please join us as we explore religious educaton specifically at UUFA. We are delighted to have Jenn Watson & Sara Berens lead us in this service. They are members of our current RE committee.
June 21 – UUA General Assembly Sunday Service & POTLUCK SUNDAY (please bring a dish to share labeled with ingredients) We will join the UUA and all attendees across the nation to view the Sunday service . This service is the ending event for the 2026 General Assembly. We will also enjoy potluck this day!
June 28 – Observation & Celebration of Summer Solstice – The light has returned and we will focus upon what brings us joy during the summertime and how we can cultivate meaningful joy during all the unrest in our lives. Barb Harrison service leader
Please bring a water sample from your summer travels to share in our fall ingathering service on Sunday September 6th .
We will pour all into a collective chalice to inspire us toward meaningful action and service.

Save the date ! July 15 – The UUFA will join together with other Athens area faith commuinites to watch the Copperheads at Bob Wren stadium. More details to come. Our own Andy Ray plays in the band at all games !!
