Sunday Service: Ingathering

Sunday 11:00am – 12:00pm
“The kick-off of the church year for many UU congregations. Some congregations include the Water Communion ritual in this service. This ritual involves congregants who have brought small amounts of water to the service, taken from special places they have been over the summer. Or the water is collected from a rainstorm or is otherwise significant or symbolic in some way. They can pour the water into a large bowl and tell the congregation where it is from and the meaning it has for them.” (http://www.uua.org/worship/holidays/homecoming)

Executive Committee Meeting

Wednesday 7:00pm
Open to the congregation. Please enter through basement doors.

Sunday Service: Ingathering

You are all invited to join in this march for PEACE.  The walk will take place on Sunday, September 11. The event begins with an Interfaith Prayer Service at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 64 University Terrace, from 6:15pm to about 6:50.  We will gather by our “Standing on the Side of Love” banner around 7:00 and start marching about 7:15.  The route goes across campus, winding through the uptown area, down Mill Street, then down Stewart to the Islamic Center. We usually arrive there around 8 or 8:15. If you don’t want to walk the distance, you can start at the Good Shepherd and then walk slowly down (or drive) to the Islamic Center.   Join us that evening in solidarity for PEACE in our community, nation and in the world.
