UUFA Announcements for February 19, 2018

Good Afternoon UUFA Members and Friends,

Thanks to Pat Gordon for yesterday’s service on the proposed 8th principle which states:

“We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote: journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”
During discussion at service those present decided that we would like to place UUFA adoption of the 8th principle on our annual meeting agenda for April 8th.  For more information on the proposed principle follow this link:

Here’s What’s Happening at UUFA this week

Choir Rehearsal – Tuesday, February 20th – 7:00 – 8:00 pm

Appreciative Inquiry – Small group meetings have begun. Look for information soon from your facilitator. Thanks to Wenda Sheard, Susan Westenbarger, Katie Evans, Natalie Barman , Jessie Roberson and Barb Harrison for serving as facilitators.

The 2018 UUFA stewardship (formerly pledge drive) is underway. The timeline this year is February 11 – April 9. The UUFA operates solely on the donations and financial support from our members.  Please consider what is comfortable for you and your family to pledge in the coming year.  We also solely rely on member time and energy to take care of the buildings and grounds and that is also considered part stewardship.

Sunday, February 25, 2018“What Would I Tell My Younger Self” with Amber May.  Please join us this Sunday beginning at 10:30 am for coffee/tea with service starting at 11:00am.
