10am Worship with UUA General Assembly, then our 11am Zoom Reflections and Coffee Hour

Sunday Morning Worship with the
Largest Annual Gathering of UUs:
“Beyond the Water’s Edge”

Sunday, June 28, 2020, at 10:00am NOTE EARLIER TIME!  LINK:  uua.org/ga

These are uncertain and volatile times. These are times that call on us to work towards our collective liberation while also tending to our spiritual needs and caring for others. How do we ready ourselves for what is being asked of us? How do we keep moving even when we don’t feel ready?

By Rev. Joan Javier-Duval. She serves as Minister of the Unitarian Church of Montpelier, VT. She is the daughter of immigrants from the Philippines, mother of a kindergartener, and spouse of a proud Vermonter. Beauty, gratitude, and love are at the heart of her faithful striving for collective liberation and a thriving planet.

This powerful, communal worship experience will stream on uua.org/ga on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. EDT and again at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Members of the public are welcome to view the service. The worship service will include a collection for the Tomaquag Museum, an indigenous museum featuring an extensive collection and archive of Southern New England tribal communities.  Here’s the order of service:

There was also a pre-GA webinar on this topic, the recording is available here:

Great news for the international students!! A fund is now active for anyone to make donations to help international students trapped in Athens without money.

Many thanks to Andy Ray for working so hard to help our Athens area international students.

THE UUFA PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE will next meet on Sunday, July 12th at 7pm via Zoom.  All members are invited to attend.

Sunday July 5th – Our UUA General Assembly delegates, Susan and Katie, will report out to use about their experiences and about what was decided at General Assembly.

Sunday July 12th – We’ll be doing a PARKING LOT service outside our UUFA building! Wear a mask, remember the building will be closed, make sure to pee ahead of time, bring coffee and a snack for yourself. Purpose: Simply to be in our space together once again and see each other in three dimensions. There may be singing, from a distance of course.
