Our Fellowship Board voted to opposed Issue 1 on the August 8th ballot. Please consider showing up on day 1 of early voting – next Tuesday – to attend a short rally outside the Athens County Courthouse, to vote a resounding NO on Issue 1, and to socialize and organize at Donkey Coffee afterwards. Pick up signs, buttons, and information. There will be music by Calliope, and free coffee and pastries at nearby Donkey Coffee.

UU FELLOWSHIP OF ATHENS BOARD MEETING
A Report from Richard Thieret
The UUFA Board met today, July 8, 2023, and welcomed new members and our new president, Barbara Harrison.
The board reviewed the annual budget passed in April and learned of the pledges made thus far to fund that budget. Although the pledge drive has accomplished some of that budget, more pledges are needed.
The board discussed possible renovations to the fellowship building, and discussed how to increase building usage by members of the community. Members are always welcome to attend board meetings.
The board appreciates new members on the programming committee, and appreciates Jessie and Roberta Roberson agreeing to chair that committee.
