Sunday UPDATE: delfin bautista will join us again

About this SUNDAY August 4, 2019:  The minister who was scheduled to be our guest this Sunday is unable to attend. We are grateful that delfin bautista, a graduate of Yale Divinity School who formerly worked as the UUA’s LGBT coordinator in Washington, DC, will join us once again and will introduce us to the UUA’s new welcoming congregation update process.  Thank you, delfin!

This week’s SPECIAL FOR CHILDREN:  This Sunday will be making paper and fabric wall hangings with ribbons and other craft items. The wall hangings will highlight the seven UU principles, below. Newcomers are welcome. Adult helpers welcome.

The Seven Principles that Unitarian Universalists hold as strong values and universal moral teachings:

Principle 1:  The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
Principle 2:  Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
Principle 3:  Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our  congregations;
Principle 4:  A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;

Principle 5:  The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our  congregations and in society at large;
Principle 6:  The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
Principle 7:  Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.
