Begin Again- Meditation 101 with Kojun

We hope UUFA members and friends will attend this Sunday March 27th 11am in person (if vaxxed/masked as required), or log in by Zoom shortly before 11am to hear our special guest this week.

Join Nate Kojun Hayes as he invites you to explore the basics of mindfulness meditation. He says, “No experience necessary. In fact, no experience is preferred!” Kojun has been practising meditation for over 27 years, has taught large and small classes, private individual sessions, and loves to share about his journey on the meditative path. “We’ll discuss common challenges, and I’ll share some personal benefits I’ve experienced. Hopefully, I can dispel some misconceptions (no, you don’t have to be a Buddhist!). We’ll also explore how anyone can establish a personal meditation practice in their life.” A few guided meditations will be given, and anyone at any experience level is welcome.

NOTE: This will be a hybrid service….by “hybrid service” we mean everyone is welcome to attend via Zoom. If you’re fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you’re welcome to show us your vaccination card and wear a KN95 or N95 mask and attend in person. We encourage all who are able and comfortable to attend in person.

NEWS ABOUT OUR APRIL 10th ANNUAL MEETING

All UUFA Members are cordially invited (and strongly encouraged!) to attend the online-only annual meeting on April 10, following the service that Sunday. We have several important decisions to make together! Each member household should have received (via USPS) a packet of materials including the Agenda for the meeting. We’ll be voting on a new Mission Statement & Vision Statement, proposed revisions to the Bylaws, as well as the budget and the leadership for the upcoming church year.

Following Nate’s service on 3/27, outgoing UUFA President Susan Westenbarger will be available to answer questions or discuss concerns regarding the info provided about the Annual Meeting. If you’re zooming the service, just stay online and we’ll start the discussion after a short break.
