Discovering My Queer Voice: from vulnerability to power

We hope UUFA members and friends will attend this Sunday April 3rd 11am in person (if vaxxed/masked as required), or log in by Zoom shortly before 11am to hear our special guest this week.

Mosha Trout will share their personal story of the hardships in navigating their own queer identity growing up in Appalachia. They will share personal development of moving from internalized trans/queer phobia to embracing strengths and beauty of their own non-binary identity. They will share how this lived experience has become a vital tool as a counselor and advocate serving queer youth and families in Appalachia.

NOTE: This will be a hybrid service….by “hybrid service” we mean everyone is welcome to attend via Zoom. If you’re fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you’re welcome to show us your vaccination card and wear a KN95 or N95 mask and attend in person. We encourage all who are able and comfortable to attend in person.

NEWS ABOUT OUR APRIL 10th ANNUAL MEETING

All UUFA Members are cordially invited (and strongly encouraged!) to attend the online-only annual meeting on April 10, following the service that Sunday. We have several important decisions to make together! Each member household should have received (via USPS) a packet of materials including the Agenda for the meeting. We’ll be voting on a new Mission Statement & Vision Statement, proposed revisions to the Bylaws, as well as the budget and the leadership for the upcoming church year.
