Come join our Service this Sunday, September 11th, 11am by Zoom or in person wearing an N95 or KN95 mask.
This is our annual in-gathering/water communion service. We welcome new and returning members and friends to the fellowship to celebrate the beginning of a new year.
If you have a special place or event that can be represented by water, bring a small amount of water as a prompt to talk about that special place or event. (Or use the water tap at the UUFA to generate your prompt.)
The service, to be lead by Susan and Richard, will include live music, a new member ceremony, and our traditional UU water communion.
MASK NOTES: Our board is still requiring KN95 or N95 masks (NO FABRIC MASKS, and no surgical masks, either) of folks entering the building for Sunday services or to use the restroom when we have outdoor events.We have many folks who truly appreciate us flipping the “usual narrative.” Usually Zoom is for those who are at risk where in-person places are not safe for them. At the fellowship, we’re doing Zoom for anyone who doesn’t want to wear a nk95 or n95 mask thus keeping the fellowship safe for the most vulnerable.We do, however, allow our presenters to unmask when speaking in the front of the fellowship. Some choose to stay masked.

UUFA BOARD REPORT

This morning the UUFA board began doing over our strategic plans goals, and created several action items under each goal as follows.
The next step in the UUFA strategic planning process is the creation of Zoom meetings for members’ input into the action items. Look for more information in future Greensheets.
Thanks to all who are participating or will participating in our strategic goals process.
GOAL ONE: UUFA will increase the use of the building by the community in concordance with UUA’s seven principles.
ACTION ITEMS:
1. Become more ADA compliant as feasible.
2. Survey community members about use of the building.
3. Advertise availability of the building.
GOAL TWO: UUFA will grow the congregation in strength and community.
ACTION ITEMS:
4. Hold more social events for community-building.
5. Open the fellowship hall for use by affiliated social justice groups.
GOAL THREE: UUFA will continue to improve its Sunday offerings.
ACTION ITEMS:
6. Upgrade audio-visual system.
7. Bring back a minister or more ministerial presentations.
8. Increase the amount of music in services.
