HAPPY UUFA NEWS: Despite an initial scare that Rev. Don Rollins would be unable to serve our congregation during the coming year, he has renewed his contract with us.  Thank you, Rev. Rollins!

PRIDE PARADE: Thank you to everyone who participated in the Pride Parade. UUFA had a large showing, including many more than appear in this photo. Thanks to all who marched, who spoke (Susan!), who set up our table at Howard Park, who filmed (Alexa!), who photographed, and more.

MORE THANKS: Thanks to those who helped one of our couples with a recent “before we move” yard sale, thanks to those who recently visited a member who moved to another part of Ohio, thanks to all who participated in our recent work day, and EXTRA SPECIAL THANKS to all who have taken time to welcome the many new folks who have been joining us on Sundays.

SUNDAY, June 16th, after service: COMMITTEE ON MINISTRY: We elected Marsha N. Wenda S,, Robin B, and Jackie W. to serve on our the ministry committee. They will also serve as our membership committee. Their first meeting will be Sunday, June 16th after service. Meetings of this committee are closed, but you’re welcome to speak to members in advance about your ideas and/or concerns.

WEDNESDAYS: Concert Under the Elms Series
Free 7pm Wednesday concerts this summer until July 3 on the College Green adjacent to Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics welcome. If you welcome other UUFA members to sit with you, please announce your invitation on Sunday before the concert.

Raise the Curtain: Music from the Stage and Screen
This concert will continue an audience-favorite theme of presenting music from movies and theater. Included will be music by Leonard Bernstein, Alan Silvestri, John Philip Sousa, Richard Wagner, John Williams, and Meredith Willson. Listen for music from The Avengers, James Bond films, Star Wars, West Side Story, and much more.

Collaborative with Muskingham Valley Symphony Winds
w/David Turrill, Conductor
The Communiversity Band will share this concert with the Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds, a community band conducted by Dr. David Turrill, Director of Bands at Muskingum University. Also featured on this concert will be Dr. William Talley, who is the newly-appointed Interim Director of Bands at Ohio University beginning this fall.

NEXT UUFA BOARD MEETING: The UUFA board will have its next meeting in August. Our incoming President, Barb H., will consult with the new board and figure out when to have the meeting. Please let her know if you want to attend and are willing to take notes, ok? Thanks.

June 30th: On the Last Sundays of June, July, and August: We’re trying something new!  We’ll be having open discussions on Spirituality & Politics (June), Spirituality & the Environment (July), and Spirituality & Health (August).
