UUFA HIKING SUNDAY
at Richard Thieret’s Tree Farm

We’re always happy to change plans when it’s best for the folks involved. This Sunday is no exception. We’ll have delfin bautista join us later this month, and this Sunday will take a break from our regular services and instead have a nature hike led by science teacher Richard Thieret on his tree farm.
We’ll have chairs set up in the orchard for those who prefer to sit and chat instead of hike.
Wear long pants and socks, and bring a face mask in case we have non-vaccinated children or adults among us. Bring a water bottle, too.
Richard and Wenda have more plants and seeds to share, so come with pots filled with soil from the hole where you want to plant a trumpet creeper vine or some herbs or raspberries or a baby tree or other plant you might find in the woods or meadows. Shovels provided.
Address: 13499 Dutch Creek Road, Athens, Ohio. It’s an easy drive, ten minutes from the top of Columbus Road. Go 4.2 miles along State Route 550 towards Amesville, then turn right on Dutch Creek Road and follow that road two more miles. Black mailbox with red tulips on left, driveway on right. Newcomers welcome. Children welcome. Bring friends.
