UUFA SERVICE THIS SUNDAY  March 15, 2020 “Imagination as a Spiritual Practice” We all struggle at times with uncertainty and fear. But what does it mean to be made in the image of God? Dr. Jessie Rose will talk about imagination as a spiritual practice.

Jessica Rose Hooker has a PhD from OSU in the sociology of emotions, identities, and change. She is the owner of Moon and Wheel tarot studio and facilitator of the semi-weekly Mystic Arts Salon metaphysical discussion group. Through private consultations, group coaching, and small classes Dr. Rose helps clients find clarity in their personal and professional relationships including love and romance, work and career, and life purpose. Service 11:00am. 184 Longview Heights Road, Athens, Ohio 45701

CHILDREN THIS SUNDAY: We’ll be delving into the 7th principle and planting seeds for an upcoming holiday in May. Also, we’ll be planning our special Easter Sunday including the dyeing of Easter eggs and our annual Easter Egg Hunt, and talking about our Earth Day plans, too.
UUFA Annual Pledge Drive for 2020-2021 begins! 
        Thank you all members and friends for your many contributions over the past year.  It is the time of year that we reach our to our members to assist with planning for our coming year. We are also preparing for our annual meeting as required by our by-laws that is set for  (April 12, 2020 – 12:30 – 1:30 pm).
        At our yearly meeting we provide members with the opportunity to discuss and weigh in on the proposed annual budget put forth by the executive committee.  It helps with planning to anticipate what we’ll be able to provide in the coming year.  Please look for an email with specific pledge drive information.  We’ll also have pledge forms available at the fellowship.
Pledge forms are due by March 22, 2020 to any board member or in the collection basket. Thank you in advance for your support.

 FUTURE UUFA MEETINGS Our UUFA annual meeting will be Easter Sunday, April 12th. The next UUFA board meeting will be March 22nd after the service.

 LOCAL GREEN BURIAL/CEMETERY GROUP:  Green burial/cemeteries are very cost effective in addition to being healthy for the environment. The Athens Green Burial/Cemetery group has a FB page named “Southeast Ohio Green Burial Working Group” for those interested in their efforts.

FUTURE SUNDAYS – Subject to change—your ideas welcome. If you have an idea for a service, but don’t want to plan all the readings and music, we’ll do that planning for you! The next programming committee meeting is online via Zoom on Friday, March 27 at 7pm (not 6pm as usual). All welcome to participate.
