UUFA PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE FROM SUSAN W. (suusanw.uu@gmail.com ; 240-305-0860)

Following our Annual Meeting in April, the Board is working on addressing our current needs and figuring out how we can retain ministerial support for the coming year. We would love to have some help from other members of our community on specific tasks. Can you help??
KATIE E. & ROBERTA R. are talking to a UU consultant about meeting with the congregation soon to work on a mission statement and a strategic plan that will guide us going forward. We’ll need help contacting UUFA members to ensure we have a big turnout for these meetings. Do you have time to make a few phone calls or send an email to other UUFA members and friends?
JESSIE R. is looking at a new insurance policy that might save us some money in the next few years. Do you know anything about insurance policies? Exciting stuff, I know! But Jessie could use some assistance to compare-and-contrast our current policy with potential new policies in order to make a recommendation to the board.
MARILYN Z. is going to review the committee responsibilities in our UUFA bylaws to see if our organization can be restructured to better fit our current size. If you are interested in seeing our bylaws–they’re really very manageable–and discussing this issue with Marilyn, let us know!
BRIAN R & ANDY R. are looking into how we can evolve to a “hybrid ministry” when we begin meeting in person again in the fall while also providing Zoom access for those still at home.
SUSAN W. would love to have one or two people with some expertise in web development to work on a web site redesign for the Fellowship.
Our next Board meeting will be on Saturday, June 12, at 10:30 AM. Please contact me (Susan: suusanw.uu@gmail.com ; 240-305-0860) if you’d like to assist board members with the tasks described above, or if you’d like to attend the June board meeting.
