UUFA Greensheet

SUNDAY APRIL 28, 2019: MAY DAY is an ancient Northern Hemisphere spring festival and a traditional spring holiday in many cultures. Beltane is the Gaelic celebration of summer. Dancing the May Pole, singing and the protective powers of fire are usually part of the festivities. Join us in celebrating these ancient traditions. Coffee at 10:30; Service at 11:00.

THANK YOU to all who helped make our UUFA Music Sunday and Easter Egg Hunt a success. What a treat to have so many talented musicians, so many Easter egg-hunting children, and so many members and friends helping make the service and egg hunt a great success.

MUSIC OPPORTUNITY: Our UUFA choir accompanist, Jiaoyang Li, is graduating from OU very soon and moving elsewhere to begin her doctoral studies. So you want to hear her play one more time? You’re in luck! She welcomes us all to attend her Graduate Student Recital on Saturday, April 27, at 12:00 pm, Glidden Recital Hall, OU School of Music. She’ll be playing piano along with Daniela Arias on violin.

OUR CHILDREN’S PROGRAM – On Sunday April 28th most or all of the children will stay upstairs to enjoy our intergenerational May Day celebrations.

OUR UUFA CHOIR:  Our choir rehearses most Tuesdays, and plans to sing at our April 28th and May 19th services. New members welcome.

We’re still accepting pledge forms. All pledges are greatly appreciated. Pledge forms are available at fellowship and one is attached to this newsletter far below.
