OUR CHILDREN’S PROGRAM As usual, the children stay upstairs for the introductory parts of the service, and then go downstairs for their own version of Joys and Sorrows, known as “The Love Bowl.” Last week, the children continued building items out of cardboard, this time with Richard T. We hope the end result will be an entire cardboard community, which we can use for talking about our UU principles. We are a “craft-heavy” program for children. New children are always welcome.
TONIGHT, TUESDAY: CHOIR at 7pm. Newcomers welcome, as usual. Join us as we continue learning a new and beautiful piece of music.
THIS THURSDAY: OUR NEXT PROGRAMMING AND RE MEETING We plan to meet again on February 21st via Zoom online. We usually meet at 7pm, but this week we’ll be meeting around 8:15pm or 8:30pm. If you would like to join us for this meeting, please let us know at least an hour in advance so we can send you the Zoom information. (Brian, Katie, Wenda, Don).

NEW! GREEN TIP: The Earth Justice Network of environmental committees from various Athens area churches is encouraging us to publish a weekly green tip in our “Greensheet” newsletter. Here’s our second green tip, from https://www.worldwildlife.org/pages/green-tips:

NEW DATE UNKNOWN – Spaghetti Dinner and International Auction. Due to weather closures in January, and now because we can’t possibly miss the 90th birthday celebration of our esteemed member Dru Riley Evarts planned for March 9th (see info elsewhere in this Greensheet), Richard T. and others decided to move the spaghetti dinner (gf & vegan options!) and international auction forward again. Stay tuned for more information. Apologies for a date as slippery as spaghetti itself.
