“FERAL CHILDREN” THIS SUNDAY: Last Sunday the children decided that Sunday, March 8th would be “feral children” day…so that they would have freedom to play. However, because the adults involved felt a need for religious exploration on all Sundays, the children and adults compromised with this plan: During the play this coming Sunday, each child will wear a poster on their back with the name and some details of a famous figure in world religions, including mythology. The children will not be told who is on their back, but can exchange hints with others. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes for those who guess earliest who’s on their back. For more about feral church children, read Feral Church Children: Kids Need Time to “Just Be” at Church.
Pledge forms are due by March 22, 2020 to any board member or in the collection basket. Thank you in advance for your support.
FUTURE SUNDAYS – Subject to change—your ideas welcome. If you have an idea for a service, but don’t want to plan all the readings and music, we’ll do that planning for you! The next programming committee meeting is online via Zoom on Friday, March 27 at 7pm (not 6pm as usual). All welcome to participate. To participate, download Zoom and ask us for the Zoom invitation in advance. – Katie, Brian, Susan & Wenda.
